1. Passover — landed on *April 21/22 in 2024 — in the evening at the start of the 14th day of the first month Nissan, where the blood of the substitute lamb marked the door, causing the angel of death to pass over. Lev 23:5 Ez 45:21 2. Feast of Unleavened Bread — *April 22/23, 2024 — a seven day festival beginning on the 15th day of the first month, where all leaven is purged from the house and unleavened bread is eaten instead. On the day after the sabbath day during this feast (Sunday), there is a wave-sheaf ceremony of the first cut sheaf of grain (barley, not wheat yet). We did it!

  The boys and I finished our reading schedule yesterday, concluding the entire Bible in one year, exactly. First time for the boys reading through the Bible, I’m so excited for them! If I can convince my kids that the Bible is their lifeline, I will consider my parenting to be successful. ☺ My parents loved the Word and built our home on that foundation. The above picture is the two of them before they were married, holding their Bibles close. And that is how they lived the rest of their lives together. I mean, they LOVE it. My most common childhood memory of my mom is of her sitting on the couch every free moment she had reading her Bible. She had mapped out a schedule in her Bible with little numbers in the corner of the pages, (that to this day I still am not sure what the numbers meant) that would get her through cover to cover in three months, I think it was.
